The Connected Shop

I sell doors with multi-point hardware, and customers have been asked for an electronic lock solution for a decade or so. We now finally have this option. It seems to work well. Options for unlocking are thumb print, small card remote, code or even your phone over wifi, I think, but I haven't set that option up yet.

The tech support was great for helping me rest the door lock. They even made a video of how to do it and sent it to me. This is above and beyond support.

I love this lock. It's attractive and easy to use, once you set it up. Our locksmith helped us at first, so that got us over the initial learning curve.

I was skeptical about whether my smart door lock would fit my custom door. Much to my surprise they fit perfectly. The key is to follow the instructions on proper measurement before placing your order. I made the mistake of trying to find my own locksmith for the install, which was a waste of time and money. Do yourself a favor and use The Connected Shop's locksmith sourcing inventory. They guy they found knew what he was doing and was very reasonable. I'm very happy with the finished product!

I was surprised at how few options were available for my new multi point lock doors, and I had not seen the Connected Shop lock in person. But I felt like the Smart Lock Slim lock was my best overall option and now, after plenty of use, I can confirm that it is a great product. The build quality is excellent, the functionality is robust, and it is a great looking lock imo. The app is a bit basic, and it would be nice if the door could stay unlocked, but otherwise I have no complaints.
I also could not have managed the install so smoothly without the help of Malcolm Loncke (the locksmith that Connected Shop put me in touch with). Malcolm is professional, efficient, and takes the time to explain how everything works. He truly cares about doing the job right and was responsive with a few follow up questions. If he happens to be available to you, I highly recommend hiring Malcolm to insure a smooth integration.

I had ordered a slim lock but failed to request the mortise. After discovering this, I requested support on the weekend. I did not expect to get any contact for days. To my surprise, I was contacted the next day by Scott and he took the time to listen to my issue. He asked me questions and asked for pictures of the existing lock. Within a day, he and the team came up with a solution for me.

Camilio Ferro was exceptional throughout the process. When purchasing a $700 lock, that goes on an $8,000 door that required slight modifications to the door and that operate not only the deadbolt that moves horizontally but two vertical deadbolts, I was extremely apprehensive. Not only did Camilio take the time to thoroughly review my options and confirm that I was ordering the right lock, he called back after installation to make sure that everything had gone well. This is the customer service we all hope for and really receive.

As far as the walk itself, if you are looking for a Pella door lock that truly operates the mechanism as it should, this is the one! The fingerprint sensor takes only a minute to set up for any user and the best part is the door unlocks in less than a second with the natural grasp and thumb touch. The fact that we no longer have to separately spin a lock from the inside because this smart lock automatically engages the lock from the outside is both convenient and an incredible safety feature that could save my family in case of a fire.

Bravo to the connected lock team for putting this exceptional product out there. I have been searching for over a year and finally found exactly what I wanted.
